Without a meter, the Solarbank estimates your consumption based on historical data. With the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter connected to your electrical panel, the system measures energy flows in both directions in real time. The Solarbank then adjusts its discharge power by the second to cover your exact instantaneous consumption without ever sending energy back to the grid. The result: maximised self-consumption, zero waste.

The Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro contains 2.688 kWh of high-density prismatic LFP cells — 50% improved energy density compared with the previous generation. The stacked BP2700 battery adds an additional 2.688 kWh without a cable, bringing the total to 5.376 kWh. This capacity typically covers the night-time consumption of a household of 2 to 4 people (base load + lighting + appliances on standby).

The Solarbank 3 Pro accepts up to 8 solar panels connected directly through its 4 independent MPPT inputs (3 600 W max). It can also connect to the domestic grid to absorb surplus from existing microinverters via AC coupling (1 200 W max AC charging). Both modes can be combined simultaneously. It is compatible with Plug & Play solar kits (Hoymiles, HyxiPower, Sigenergy) as well as rooftop panels.

No. This bundle consists only of the Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro battery, the BP2700 expansion battery and the Smart Meter. It is designed to work with existing solar panels or a Plug & Play solar kit from our catalogue — such as our Hyxipower, Hoymiles or Sigenergy solar kits. If you are starting from scratch, our solar kits with battery include panels and Solarbank in a single order.

The Smart Meter is the component that transforms your battery into a truly intelligent system. Without it, the Solarbank estimates your consumption based on your past habits. With the Smart Meter connected to your electrical panel, discharge is controlled to the nearest watt in real time — maximising your self-consumption rate and eliminating unnecessary exports to the grid. It is included in this bundle (value €129), so you do not have to order it separately.
« Is the BP2700 easy to connect to the Solarbank 3 Pro? »
Yes, without tools or cables. The BP2700 is placed directly on the Solarbank 3 Pro through vertical stacking — the connection is made via integrated contacts. The Anker app automatically detects the added battery and updates the displayed capacity within seconds. The BP2700 is also compatible with BP1600 batteries from the previous generation.
« Can I increase the capacity beyond 5.4 kWh? »
Yes. By adding up to 4 additional BP2700 batteries, you can reach 16.1 kWh — still through stacking, without modifying the main unit. And by connecting up to 3 Solarbank 3 Pro systems in parallel, total capacity can exceed 48 kWh for the most ambitious installations.
