Components & technology

10 kWh LFP — a full night covered

Two SigenStor BAT 5.0 modules connected in series: 10 kWh of usable capacity typically covers 100% of the nighttime consumption of a four-person household. 6,000+ cycles, operational from —20°C to +55°C.

6 kW inverter — 2 MPPT × 16 A

Gateway HomeMax SP 12K: two independent trackers to maximise production even in shaded conditions or with different orientations. 6 kW single-phase AC output power.

Integrated 5-in-1 system

PV inverter, battery PCS, DC EV charger, LFP battery pack and EMS in a single unit. One installer, one after-sales service, one mySigen app.

mySigen AI — automatic tariff optimisation

The EMS anticipates peak hours, consumption peaks and cloudy days. It charges the battery at the best time — from the solar panels or the grid during off-peak hours.

V2H & V2G — your car in the loop

V2H mode: the electric vehicle powers the home in the event of a power cut. V2G mode: stored energy is fed into the grid during peak tariff periods.

Multi-surface mounting included

Compatible with tiled roofs, sheet metal roofs, flat roofs, façades or ground mounting — the installer adapts the configuration to your building without complications.

Why choose this kit?

1

Zero grid draw at night

10 kWh covers all the nighttime consumption of an average household — including the refrigerator, lighting, internet equipment and standby devices.

2

Estimated savings of 2 200 €/year

Self-consumption + AI-optimised energy storage: estimated 70 to 80% annual energy independence, representing 2 000–2 400 € saved per year.

3

The ideal entry point to energy independence

10 kWh at 6 kW, expandable to 54 kWh — the right balance between initial investment and immediate energy independence.

Energy storage
10 kWh: the threshold for genuine nighttime energy independence
The average consumption of a French household between 8 pm and 7 am is 7 to 10 kWh. With 10 kWh of LFP energy storage, this kit covers the entire time period — including heating during the mid-season, equipment standby consumption and nighttime device charging. LFP chemistry ensures 6,000 cycles without significant degradation, representing more than 15 years of daily operation.

Savings
Combining generation and energy storage multiplies your savings
Without a battery, a 6 kWp kit produces ~7 800 kWh/year, but only 30 to 40% is self-consumed in real time. With 10 kWh of energy storage, this rate rises to 70–80%: every kWh produced is actually used. At 0,25 €/kWh, this represents a difference of ~800 €/year between the same installation with or without a battery.

Intelligence
The EMS always chooses the optimal time
The mySigen algorithm simultaneously integrates three data streams: 48-hour solar forecasts, learned consumption curves and real-time tariff signals. It anticipates cloudy days to maintain a sufficient state of charge and uses off-peak hours to recharge from the grid when sunlight is insufficient. Automatic OTA updates — the system improves without intervention.

Resilience
10 kWh of backup power in the event of an outage
During a grid outage, the SigenStor automatically switches to island mode: priority circuits are powered without interruption from the battery and solar panels (during the day). 10 kWh can provide a full night or several hours of normal operation, depending on the connected equipment. V2H mode extends this autonomy using the electric vehicle's battery.

Your questions answered
« What is the difference compared with the 6 kW SigenStor with 8 kWh? »
The only difference is the energy storage capacity: 10 kWh (2 BAT 5.0 modules) versus 8 kWh (1 BAT 8.0 module or 2 BAT 4.0 modules depending on the configuration). In practice, 10 kWh can cover four- to five-person households with high nighttime consumption (heat pump during the mid-season, partial EV charging and numerous standby devices). If your nighttime consumption is below 8 kWh, the 8 kWh model is sufficient.
« Is 10 kWh enough to be completely independent from the grid? »
In summer, yes: long days fully recharge the battery and cover the night. In winter, solar production drops (3 to 4 hours of full sunshine versus 6–8 in summer), and 10 kWh may not be sufficient on certain days. The mySigen EMS automatically makes up the shortfall by purchasing electricity during off-peak hours. Complete year-round energy independence generally requires 20+ kWh of energy storage.
« Can I add more batteries later without changing everything? »
Yes — this is the founding principle of the SigenStor range. The BAT modules simply stack, and the Gateway detects them automatically. You can go from 10 kWh to 15, 20 or 54 kWh at your own pace, without changing the central electronics or calling an electrician for the battery installation.
« How does the Tempo tariff work with this system? »
The EDF Tempo tariff distinguishes between 3 colours of day (blue, white and red), with price differences that can reach a factor of 1 to 10 between blue off-peak hours and red peak hours. The mySigen EMS natively integrates the Tempo signal and prioritises charging the battery during blue off-peak hours for discharge during red hours. This is one of the system's most significant sources of savings in winter.
