Safety
AFCI protection: fire safety technology that deserves more attention
The AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) detects electrical micro-arcs in the DC wiring in real time, the main source of fires in photovoltaic installations. The HYX-S6K-S inverter automatically disconnects the circuit before any fire starts. Combined with IP66 and Technideal surge protector combiner boxes, this is one of the safest installations on the residential market.

The HYX-S6K-S accepts up to 160% of its rated power as PV input — namely 9 600Wp — and supports high-current panels (Impp 18A, Isc 24A). This allows you to install 600Wp panels or higher if you extend the installation in the future without changing the inverter.

Installation
Two rows of 6, clear and quick
The ESDEC racking system is sized for two rows of 6 panels in portrait format. The pre-assembled Technideal DC and AC combiner boxes speed up commissioning. The Enedis declaration follows the standard self-consumption route with no injection or limited injection.

The central HYX-S6K-S inverter processes the production from all 12 panels as a single unit. This is the most common solution for installations from 6 kWp: it offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and simplified maintenance. To maximise shade tolerance, the inverter has several independent MPPT inputs.

For a self-consumption installation without injection, the Enedis declaration remains simplified regardless of the power.
